Certificates & Certification Training

What is Certification?

Certificate training is widely available and consists of courses for continuing medical education. For post-fracture care/FLS programs, process-based training focuses on where to find patients, why you should see post-fracture patients, and statistics for patients and outcomes. However, it's important to note that there is currently no requirement for ongoing CME to ensure continued knowledge. Furthermore, there is no mechanism to guarantee that current research knowledge is available or required of a participant in the future, potentially leading to a gap in knowledge.

Certificates vs. Certification Training.

Certification training is consistent, as well as provider- and process-based training. It equips you with the baseline knowledge to identify and treat an OBH patient in your clinic, regardless of your clinical situation. The process varies based on your level of engagement, but the training ensures you have the necessary process training and knowledge to engage in patient identification and treatment effectively. However, it's important to remember that ongoing OBH-specific CME is required to keep a certification current AND keep abreast of the constantly evolving landscape of OBH management.
